Peaceful Parenting 101: how to stay calm and connected, even when things get hard
As peaceful parents, we really really try not to lose it with our children - but it’s REALLY HARD!! We try to keep a lid on our feelings as they bubble up in us… But without the right information and practices, eventually, the feelings explode out of us - usually hurting the ones we love the most.
And I’m NOT just speaking theoretically here - in spite of committing myself to parenting in a peaceful, respectful way from the word go (eek, that was more than a decade ago now!!), I spent years losing it with my kids more times than I care to recall. It was SO hard to shift the ingrained patterns of ‘keep it in, keep it in, keep it in, and… BAM!’ Eurgh - not a pleasant feeling!
The good news is, that my life looks SO different now - I rarely lose it with my kids, and when I do get angry, it’s much more short lived, and of a FAR lower intensity! In addition, I don’t spend days beating myself up for my ‘terrible parenting’ when things go wrong - and that makes life better for ALL of us.
This online, self-guided course is made up of the most useful insights I’ve had, and changes I’ve made, along my journey - and yes, you will have to put some attention and work here in order to see changes happen, but I would LOVE you to get to a more peaceful place in a MUCH shorter time than it took me!

How long will it take me?
That is COMPLETELY up to you - the teaching videos are around 15 minutes long each, so you’ll easily be able to get those done quickly (or you can even skim the transcripts if that’s easier!!). And then I recommend you use the journalling prompts over the course of a few days (rather than trying to cram them all in at once). And then, giving yourself a little time to practise and integrate the ideas before coming back to the final journalling prompts to round things up. So within just a few hours altogether, you will have a deeper insight into your own reactions, and practical ideas to bring into your daily life to start making changes - but I invite you to spread those few hours over the course of 3 or 4 weeks. Which makes things manageable, as well as more effective!
